Text you type is processed locally

Word counts, character counts, sentence and paragraph counts, reading and speaking times, Flesch scores, whitespace cleaners, and case conversion all run in JavaScript in your browser. The page does not send the contents of the textarea to a TextStats server, because the site is a set of static files and does not have an analysis endpoint. There is no account and no saved history of drafts.

Closing the tab drops the draft, and TextStats cannot recover it. Copy any result you want to keep. Do not put passwords or payment numbers into the box.

What still happens when you open a page

Your browser requests HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from the host that serves textstats.site. The planned host is Cloudflare Pages. A host of that kind can log ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and the URL of the page, the way web servers usually do, so it can deliver the file and resist abuse. That log is not the paragraph you pasted.

Analytics, cookies, and ads

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records things like the pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived, and it sets cookies to tell visits apart. It never receives the text in the tools, which stays in your browser. Google handles that data under its ownprivacy policy. You can block it with a browser setting or extension, or opt out with Google’sbrowser add-on, and the tools work the same.

This version shows no third-party ads. If ads are added later, an ad network such as Google AdSense can set cookies and read device data under its own policy. This policy will be updated first.

Children

The tools are general writing utilities, not a service directed at children under 13, and they do not ask for a name, a school, or any profile. Do not submit a child’s personal information by email or in the text box.

Changes
